PURPLE BEASTLY

When Allen is fired from his job at Dateline NBC's To Catch A Predator, he begins to receive mysterious visits in the night from a Rabbi who was busted on that show some years ago. The Rabbi uses Kabbalistic meditation to show Allen the throbbing no-thing-ness at the center of the universe, and Allen's girlfriend accidentally gets swept along for the ride. The next morning, hungover and confused from last night’s spiritual bender, they struggle with one another to define a new morality, to deflect responsibility, and to deal with that pesky and unfortunate little issue of pedophelia. A dark comedy about morality in the digital age of voyeurism.

CAN SOMETHING TERRIBLE BE BEAUTIFUL AT THE SAME TIME?

I think the play is really disturbing and really interesting.
