A crazy night in a Jerusalem cafe. A sodden American rocker steals bus seats after they explode, a writer reminisces on lost love, and Mrs. Max may be divorcing her husband, Mr. Max. But who is setting off the bombs?
Lauren Gold (Playwright) has been involved in one form of writing or another, from prose to poetry to journalism for more than thirty years. Playwriting commandeered her focus almost fifteen years ago, and since then her plays have had readings and/or productions in locations around the country including Detroit, Manhattan, Sonora CA, Northport AL, Orlando, Nashville, Boca Raton and Iowa City. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, a regular participant of the Iowa Summer Writing Festival and a founding member of the Kingston Springs Writers Group. Originally from New York, Lauren resides in “the other Hollywood” (FL) with her family.
Shira-Lee Shalit (Director) is an award-winning director, writer and actor. Chosen by Steven Spielberg out of 12,000 directors as one of 12 Finalists for the Fox/DreamWorks TV show, "On The Lot”, Shira-Lee has directed for The LAByrinth Theatre Company, Barefoot Theatre Company, Nylon Fusion, Stonestreet Studios and the Writers Guild East Screenplay Reading Series. A Presidential Scholar of the Arts Awardee and Finalist in the Student Academy Awards, her first feature film was the award-winning “A-LIST”, starring Academy Award Nominee Sally Kirkland. Shira-Lee is a faculty member at Columbia University’s Graduate Film School and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
