Aristaeus
Aristaeus
by Elizabeth Savage
Aristaeus centers around Carver Washington, an 18 year old African American beekeeper, who lives in the Bronx with his little sister and grandmother. His rooftop, where he keeps his bees, is his only respite from a chaotic world below. This play explores themes of identity (Jewish and otherwise), gentrification, Colony Collapse Disorder and our responsibilities to ourselves, our families and wider communities.
