Say Goodbye

SAY GOODBYE

by A.R. Cohen/Corwin

In a European basement lab in 1956, Esthie has discovered something amazing - but will she use it for life, or revenge?

There is something here for everyone—horror and revenge and love and regret and humor—and I am eager to introduce it to more people.
— David Winitsky

Arizona State University MFA Playwright’s Workshop

2022 Jewish Playwriting Contest

A.R. Cohen/Corwin combines her passions for comedy and politics to examine how we’ve been taught to look at the world. Her play, How to Save the Polar Bear, was selected for the 2020 Theater Masters TAKE TEN Festival and was published by Concord Theatricals/Samuel French in Summer 2021. How to Save the Polar Bear and Last Words were regional finalists respectively for the 2020 and 2021 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival’s Gary Garrison National Ten-Minute Play Award. Her full-length play, en-DANGER!-ed, was selected by The Phoenix Theatre Company for its Festival of New American Theatre, and was also a semi-finalist for the 2021 Bay Area Playwrights Festival, and the 2021 Princess Grace Awards Playwriting Fellowship. She received her MFA in Dramatic Writing from Arizona State University, and she is currently a Faculty Associate there and at Phoenix College, where she teaches screenwriting and playwriting classes.
