Bar Mitzvah Boy
BAR MITZVAH BOY
by MARK LEIREN-YOUNG
In the JPP's view, the measure of Jewish life and values is their utility in navigating complex 21st Century lives.
In Mark's play, we see a woman of faith struggling to find her way after a terrible tragedy, and secular man finding new purpose through ritual and generational relationships.
Faith, suffering, children, joy, and community. These are some of the highest ideals in Jewish life, and Mark's play gets us there.
This play is brand new - its never had a public reading or workshop or production - and the JPP could not be more excited to help Mark share it with the world.
